Where are the Percy Jackson fans?!

The first season of this Disney+ show was a big hit, and fans have been wondering when a second season might be announced. So far, Disney hasn’t mentioned anything about the possibility of another season being greenlit, but we do have a pretty big hint that it could be on the way!
UPDATE: Disney has confirmed that there will be a Season 2 for Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Heads up, Percy Jackson fans! In an interview with Variety, showrunners Jon Steinberg and Dan Shotz shared a little bit about the series and dropped a hint about the potential for a second season.

While it hasn’t officially been greenlit just yet, the studio has “opened up a writers’ room,” and writers are “making great progress.”
“There is an awareness on everyone’s part that the demand for the show seems to suggest we should probably not stop making it,” shared Steinberg.

He’s not wrong, either — viewership of the series increased by 22% during its first full week of streaming, viewers watched over 700 million minutes of the show. That makes Percy Jackson and the Olympians the third most-watched original show, after The Crown and Reacher.
Though we don’t have many more details, it’s a good sign that the writers are back in action working on a second season — we’ll just have to wait and see if it’s picked up.
