Disney After Hours events are BACK! This time, we’re visiting Magic Kingdom AFTER dark and experiencing low wait times, complimentary snacks, and TWO TIMES the normally scheduled fireworks. Talk about an eventful night!

After Hours
During Magic Kingdom’s three-hour long After Hours event, we’re visiting TONS of attractions and meeting some characters along the way. But one of the things we’re SUPER excited about is Disney’s BIG change. During the After Hours event, you can ride TRON Lightcycle / Run WITHOUT a virtual queue or Lightning Lane (paid FastPass to skip the line). That’s right — we’re using the standby line at TRON for the FIRST TIME!
TRON Lightcycle / Run is the NEWEST roller coaster in Disney World — and it is POPULAR. The virtual queue can fill up quickly for this attraction on a normal day. But this isn’t a normal day, people!
Ever since TRON first opened in 2023, the ride has operated exclusively with a virtual queue (and Individual Lightning Lane) that you can join via the My Disney Experience app. Even during Magic Kingdom’s other specially ticketed events, like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party, the ride operated with a virtual queue system.
But now, TRON is using a standby queue during Disney After Hours events! The standby line opens at 10PM (the same time the event officially begins).

Look — it’s a real standby line!
Later in the evening, the line went down to a 30-minute wait. Keep your eyes on My Disney Experience throughout the night so you can take advantage of those LOW waits!
