We recently told you that the fan-favorite nighttime spectacular World of Color ONE would be closing temporarily at Disney California Adventure.

It’s one thing when a ride closes — you’re sad that you missed it, but there are plenty more to fill the time during your trip. But when a nighttime spectacular is not available, there’s not much to replace it, and it can feel like that something special is missing at the end of your day. That’s why we’re so happy to tell you that World of Color ONE will be back much sooner than we were expecting!

World of Color ONE is truly a “spectacular” — with water elements, fire, and alll kinds of lighting effects and projections. And with all that comes a lot of tech used in the show. So it’s not a surprise that it needs some downtime and maintenance work from time to time!

Back in November when Disney announced the temporary closure of this show, it looked like it would be closed for more than a month — from January 8th to February 29th. But today, we learned that the show will be back on January 19th after just a 10-day hiatus!
