If you’re anything like us, you’ve been VERY excited ever since the third Frozen film was announced.
Now, we haven’t heard much about this new film at all other than some mysterious updates that just give us small snowballs of information each time, but we have a NEW clue that reveals another piece of the puzzle!
In a recent interview with Disney, Jennifer Lee, the Chief Creative Officer of Disney Animation who also wrote and directed the first two Frozen films, teased that the series may not end after a third film. Her comments echo what Disney CEO Bob Iger said recently about a possible fourth Frozen movie.
To be specific, when asked if she could share anything more on Frozen 3, she stated, “Only what we have already shared, which is the team is hard at work, we are deeply excited about the story we are shaping together, and it’s so epic it may not fit into just one film.”
In an interview with Good Morning America on Thursday, November 16th, Iger also mentioned a possible fourth movie: “Well, I’ll give you a little surprise there, Michael. Frozen 3 is in the works and there might be a Frozen 4 in the works too.”
Iger went on to say, “I don’t have much to say about those films right now. But Jenn Lee, who created Frozen, the original Frozen and Frozen II, is hard at work with her team at Disney Animation on not one but actually two stories.”
Frozen and Frozen 2 songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez will be returning for the third movie. “It got us very excited,” Kristen said. “Now, we have to let the wheels of Hollywood do what they do, but we were very excited with their ideas.”
