Disney’s working on quite a few major construction projects in the domestic parks right now.
Disneyland
Several Disney World and Disneyland Resort hotels are getting updates, EPCOT is in the middle of a complete transformation, and multiple attractions are getting refurbished. One of those attractions is located in Disneyland Park, and today, we’ve got some construction updates!
Back in 2022, Disney announced that Tarzan’s Treehouse in Disneyland Park would be re-themed. We later found out that the treehouse in Adventureland will pay tribute to the original treehouse Walt Disney and his Imagineers built in 1962 for the movie Swiss Family Robinson. It will return in a “fresh, new way.”

The treehouse closed nearly two years ago and construction began, but now we’re starting to see some major updates. It was previously covered in a TON of scaffolding, but now much of that has been removed.
Much of the scaffolding is gone!
We’re also starting to see some of the details from the concept art emerge. You can see clear ship-inspired elements and detailing has been added on the balconies and windows.
A closer look
It looks like the stairs still need to be extended in some spots, but things are certainly coming along. We can’t wait to explore it later this year!
