While sometimes it may feel hidden, there really is some great food at Disney World.
Especially over in Disney Springs! One of our favorite restaurants is Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, but if you’re feeling overwhelmed by the menu, we’ve got two iconic choices you’ve GOT to order!
To start off your meal, you HAVE to grab the Thigh-High Chicken Biscuits!
This appetizer is made with cheddar biscuits and the restaurant’s iconic fried chicken and bread and butter pickles. Then, the whole thing is drizzled in hot honey. Oh, they are INCREDIBLE! If you don’t mind a little spice and you love bread and chicken, you won’t regret grabbing these!
For your main entree, we strongly suggest grabbing the Fried Chicken & Doughnuts! These come with, once again, Homecomin’s incredible fried chicken, plus two yeast donuts from Everglazed (also located in Disney Springs)! Not only that, it comes with creamy mashed potatoes that can come with gravy on top.
This entree may be expensive (it’s $32), but it is EVERYTHING. The chicken is crispy, the doughnuts pull apart perfectly, and the mashed potatoes and gravy are immensely buttery and creamy. If you love all three of these items, it’s like dinner and dessert together!
Those are our top two recommendations, but if you’re not a chicken fan, we also recommend the Fried Pickle Spears appetizer for $16. The breading around the pickles is crunchy, flavorful, and downright delicious, and you get a LOT on the plate!
If you love pickles, you’ll likely adore these. If you’ve got some people in your party who are vegetarians but want to split an appetizer, this is a great option.
And those are our top recommendations from Homecomin’, but there’s so much more on the menu to explore! We strongly recommend you head on over to this iconic restaurant the next time you’re in Disney World, especially if you love fried chicken. As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney news and food recommendations.
