BEWARE This Restaurant Closure in Disney World

Disney World will surprise you in a variety of ways.

Sometimes it’s a rare character coming out to say hello to visitors. Sometimes it’s shorter ride lines than you expected. Sometimes it’s something you didn’t expect to happen, like bad weather and ride closures. However, we just recently came across a restaurant issue you might want to be aware of — let’s take a look.

Over at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, you’ll find a relatively new restaurant, Rosa Mexicano. The restaurant offers “an elevated fiesta dining experience,” which includes some of the restaurant’s signature dishes and margaritas that are so good they’ve won awards.

In fact, we ate at Rosa Mexicano on its opening day and were won over by the delicious food (SO GOOD) and atmosphere. It’s a win in our book! But we do have a word of warning about this restaurant.

Enchilada Time!

We stopped by the restaurant recently around lunchtime and noticed that the restaurant was closed for lunch. A sign was posted in front of the restaurant explaining the closure, recommending some of the other dining options at the Swan and Dolphin. However, the sign DID state that Rosa Mexicano would be open for dinner at 5PM.

A Cast Member explained that this will probably be the case for the rest of the month, though that is subject to change. They believed that the closure was because it’s been a slow season for the restaurant and Disney World. So if you were planning on having lunch here over the next few weeks, make a note that the restaurant might not be available, so it’s probably best to plan for dinner if it’s a must on your to-do list.
