Tons of construction projects are happening around Disney World Resort, and we don’t just mean the parks — the Disney World hotels and Disney Springs are seeing lots of construction too!
Disney Springs is home to some of our favorite shopping and dining options, and with so much to do, it needs a lot of parking to be able to accommodate its crowds. There are numerous parking lots and areas available, but one MASSIVE one has just closed for refurbishment, which means parking might get a little tricky for the next few months.
The Lime Garage in Disney Springs will be closed for a refurbishment for the majority of the first quarter (three months) of 2026. It’ll be closed from January 12th through February 11th, then will reopen very briefly from February 12th through 16th, then close again from February 17th through March 13th.
We checked it out this morning, and sure enough, the parking lot is all closed off to guests, but the restrooms nearby do remain open. We’ll continue to keep a close eye on what construction continues to look like as it progresses, because it’s not entirely clear yet what work is being done.
This means when you’re parking at Disney Springs, these will be your options for parking:
- Orange Garage (closest to the West Side of Disney Springs)
- Grapefruit Garage (located behind Lime Garage; you must walk over a skyway to get to Disney Springs)
- Watermelon Parking Lot (closest to Cirque du Soleil)
- Strawberry Parking Lot (to the left of Watermelon Parking Lot, in between Disney Springs and Saratoga Springs)
It’s our assumption that the Orange Garage and Watermelon Parking Lots will be busiest during this closure, but regardless of where you’re heading in Disney Springs, you’ll want to allow a little extra time to travel if you’re taking your own car and will need to park. If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you can also take a bus or water transportation to Disney Springs, and that travel shouldn’t be as heavily affected!
We’ll continue to keep you updated throughout this construction, as well as keep you informed about all the other projects happening around the resort, so stay tuned to DFB!
