We’re only about two weeks away from the start of the 2023 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, and things are starting get kicked into high gear.
Throughout the festival, EPCOT visitors can grab a variety of flavors from around the world from the festival booths located throughout the park. There is usually a LOT of food, but some Disney fans just use the eats to fuel up for Disney World’s Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend — a food-themed race that is held each year during the Food & Wine Festival. The weekend entails a series of themed races: a 5k, 10k, Half Marathon race, and even a 19.3-mile Two Course Challenge. One of the BEST parts about completing these races is the bling that you get at the end. If you’re running this year’s races, or you’re just a runDisney fanatic, you’re gonna want to keep reading!
Disney just shared a look at the 2023 Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend medals, and we think a few of you Disney fans are going to love them. Let’s check it out!
First up, the 5k is Alice in Wonderland-themed. Check out this 5k medal!
The lanyard is yellow and the medal itself looks like the white rabbit’s watch. You can see Cheshire Cat, the Hatter, and Alice pictured on the medal.
As for the 10k, it’s Beauty and the Beast-themed! Check it out!
The lanyard here is also yellow and the medal itself features a rose and sparkle pattern around the edges, with characters like Cogsworth, Lumiere, Chip, and Mrs. Potts featured.
Alrighty, it’s time for the Half Marathon medal! If you signed up to run 13.1 miles, then this medal could soon be yours. It’s Encanto-themed!
The lanyard is blue and features Mirabel and Bruno against an orange and yellow background. We’re getting major Casita vibes.
Last but most certainly not least, the Two Course Challenge medal features none other than Figment.
To get this medal, you’ll just have to ‘Journey Into Imagination’ (or leg cramps) and run both the Half Marathon and 10k races.
What do you think? If you’re running any of these races, did seeing the medal help you set your eyes on the prize? We’ll continue to keep you updated with any and all Disney news and updates — runDisney news included! Make sure to follow along for more!
