One of Our FAVORITE Menu Items Is BACK at Homecomin’ in Disney Springs

There’s a reason we tell you not to skip out on visiting Disney Springs during your Disney World trip.

Disney Springs has some of the BEST food on Disney World property (at least in our humble opinion) that includes some of our favorite restaurants like Wine Bar George and Homecomin.’ However, Homecomin’ has been missing one of its BEST desserts. Now, though, that dessert IS BACK.

The Shine Cake is BACK at Homecomin’! This signature dessert JUST for adults is made with a butter cake SOAKED in moonshine syrup and served with a seasonal fruit gastrique and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. We have absolutely LOVED this cake in the past. It’s moist and dense (sort of like pound cake) with a sweet glaze and just a hint of moonshine flavor.

You’ll be able to order right off the menu the next time you visit Homecomin,’ too! Unless of course, it disappears again, but we’re hoping it sticks around for a while! But we do recommend keeping an eye on Disney World restaurant menus, just in case. You can check those on the Disney World website or through the My Disney Experience app.

Also, if you’re worried about the Hummingbird Cake, that’s still on the menu — whew!
