Sometimes your go-to Disney snack order changes, and this might be one of those times.

New menu item at Wetzel’s Pretzels
Pretzel bites are usually our default when hunting for a quick snack around Disney Springs at Wetzel’s Pretzels, but we decided to switch things up and try their newest item instead. What we found was a surprisingly hearty, cheesy snack that might just earn a regular spot in our Disney Springs rotation.
If you’re looking for a filling, shareable snack while walking around Disney Springs, the new Mozzarella Sticks from Wetzel’s Pretzels are honestly one of the most surprising snack wins we’ve had there in a while.

Mozzarella Sticks
They come in an order of five for $12.50, with dipping sauces like marinara sauce available for an additional $2.50…

Pizza Sauce dip
…which does feel a little annoying since marinara sauce feels like it should be included. That said, once you actually taste them, it’s a lot easier to forgive the price!

Menu card
The biggest surprise here is that these don’t feel like typical mozzarella sticks at all. Instead of a crunchy fried coating like you’d get at a sports bar or bowling alley, these have more of a baked pretzel dough exterior. The outside isn’t crispy, but it has that really nice baked crust texture — soft, slightly chewy, and sturdy enough to hold all that cheese. The bottoms are covered in those little golden pizza crust-style seasoning bits (similar to what you see on really good pizza crust), which add extra texture and flavor…even if they do make things a little messy to eat.

Great cheese in the center
Inside, the cheese is where these really shine. The mozzarella is super fresh, insanely stretchy, and gives you that long, dramatic cheese pull you always hope for! These are wrapped in a way that almost lets you unspiral the dough from the cheese, making them feel closer to cheesy bread or pizza appetizers than traditional mozzarella sticks. If you told me these came from a sit-down pizza restaurant, I would absolutely believe you.

Dipped in pizza sauce
Portion-wise, these are hefty. Eating two to three feels like a full snack on its own, which makes this a great shareable item, or honestly, something you could call a light lunch if you paired it with a drink.

A single mozzarella stick
Overall, yes, they’re a little expensive. But they’re fresh, super filling, and absolutely something we’d order again (especially if you already love grabbing pretzel bites here).
