Well, you’re in luck, because Disney has shared some BIG news about what you can expect in Disney World in 2024. The Disney Dining Plan will return, hotel guests will continue to have extra park hours, and Genie+ is getting simplified for a more streamlined experience. Next year is already shaping up to be pretty exciting for Disney World, and you’ll soon be able to start your trip planning!

Starting tomorrow, May 31st, guests can start booking their vacation packages for 2024. And, for the first time since 2020, the Disney Dining Plan will be available to add to their trip!

Disney has confirmed that the Disney Dining Plan will return on January 9th, 2024, and guests with hotel stays beginning on that date or later will be able to add it to their stay. There will be two options — the Quick Service and Standard Disney Dining Plans.

In order to add one of these plans to a vacation package, guests will have to have purchased at least one ticket per person, in addition to staying at a Disney-owned-and-operated hotel.

For the Standard Dining Plan, Disney has shared that this is what will be included:

Everyone in the travel party will receive 1 Table-Service meal per night, 1 Quick-Service meal per night, and a
snack/nonalcoholic drink per night of their package stay—along with 1 Resort-refillable drink mug. Meals and snacks can
be redeemed at any time during the stay.
For example, if you book a 4-night package with a Disney Dining Plan, each Guest in your party would receive 4 Table-Service meals, 4 Quick-Service meals, and 4 snacks or nonalcoholic beverages—which can be used at any time during your 4-night stay.

And for the Quick Service Dining Plan, here’s what you can expect:

Everyone in the travel party (ages 3 and up) will receive 2 Quick-Service meals per night, a snack/nonalcoholic drink per
night of their package stay – along with 1 Resort-refillable drink mug. Meals and snacks can be redeemed at any time
during the stay.
For example, if you book a 4-night package with a Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, each Guest in your party would receive 8 Quick-Service meals and 4 Snacks or Nonalcoholic Beverages—which can be used at any time during your 4-night stay.

Have an Annual Pass and wondering how this applies to you? Those with Annual Passes will be able to take part in the returning plan as well. They will have the option to simply add the Disney Dining Plan to a hotel stay. For DVC members, Dining Plans will be able to be added to a points reservation, but those are not yet available to be booked.
