No matter how far in advance you make your Disney plans and no matter how much research you do ahead of time, even the best-laid plans can go awry. From random technical difficulties to attraction refurbishments, there are some things we just can’t control!

If you were planning to catch a nighttime performance of the famous Fantasmic! show in Disneyland this April, you might need to rethink your plans.

Just recently, on April 22nd, there was an incident during Disneyland’s Fantasmic! performance. The fire-breathing Maleficent dragon unexpectedly caught on fire, causing the show to end early.

There’s lots of fire involved with this show!

Luckily, no one was hurt, and the fire department was able to quickly respond to the scene.

Now, it seems like the April 23rd performance of Fantasmic! was canceled as Disney works to repair the Maleficent dragon.

At first, it looked like performances are set to resume on Friday, April 28th, though that has since changed. Showtimes aren’t showing available until Friday, May 5th. From there, times continue through May 7th and then are showing from May 12th through May 14th.

After that, it looks like the showtimes return to normal on May 26th.
