Visiting Disney World is one big, giant, MASSIVE…excuse to take photos! 😂
Seriously though, you’ll see people taking pictures all over the parks. Pictures of rides, snacks, restaurants, the parade, the fireworks, and more. But most commonly, you’ll spot families snapping a photo in front of Cinderella Castle. And if you want to get the best possible Cinderella Castle pic…why not have it done by a professional?
Disney World has just announced a new location for Capture Your Magic photo sessions in the parks — Fantasyland! That means your photo session could include Cinderella Castle, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, Rapunzel’s tower, Prince Eric’s castle, Storybook Circus, Belle and Maurice’s cottage, outside Beast’s castle, around the Mad Tea Party, or many other locations.
A Capture Your Moment photo session is an experience you reserve in advance through the Disney World website, where you get a Disney PhotoPass photographer for a private photo shoot. It costs $99 and can include up to 8 guests. Once you check in and you’re escorted to your photo location, you’ll have about 20 minutes to take pictures.
Check-in for the new Fantasyland Capture Your Moment sessions will be located at Sir Mickey’s. If you’d like to reserve one of these experiences, reservations open on April 24th for photo sessions starting on May 1st. You’re guaranteed one photo location per session, but most sessions end up visiting multiple locations.
As an added bonus to booking the Fantasyland package, Disney says, “You may even be able to visit a location beyond Fantasyland to capture photos, such as the Haunted Mansion or other spots in Liberty Square. Ask your photographer about available options and how long you’d have to capture photos at these locations.”
Keep in mind that photo downloads are not included in the cost of the session, but those with the Memory Maker add-on will be able to access their pictures at no extra cost. You can also choose to purchase the photos individually.
