It’s the day AFTER Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration ended, and SO MUCH has already changed in the parks.
We’ve seen new park maps at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. There’s a new Annual Passholder card available. There’s been a costume change at a Magic Kingdom show. Now, Mickey Mouse HIMSELF has changed.
We popped over to Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom today to say hello to Mickey, and he looked different. Gone is his EARidescent 50th anniversary outfit.
Now, he’s brought back his magician’s outfit, complete with a fabulous cape.
We knew the 50th outfits would be going away, although we’ll miss them — Mickey looked so dapper! But Magician Mickey has returned and is available to meet people in Magic Kingdom.
Note that the lines to meet Mickey here can get a little long, so if you purchase Genie+, you can access the meet and greet’s Lightning Lane. Not familiar with how Genie+ works? We’ve got the ultimate Genie+ guide for you right here. Of course, you can also meet Mickey in Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom (and he’s got a different outfit for each location). If all else fails, Mickey is available at some character dining experiences, too.
