A Restaurant Has Partially REOPENED in Downtown Disney

We’ve got some Disneyland news coming your way!

There is a lot going on over on the West Coast with Disney’s 100th Anniversary starting, a new ride opening, new snacks becoming available, and more. And now, a popular Downtown Disney restaurant has partly reopened for dining.

Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen has announced that they’ve reopened their upstairs and balcony dining! The renovation of the rest of the building is still underway.

But be warned — their beignet dessert is currently unavailable, so if you’re hoping for some beignets, you’ll have to wait a little longer. And their Express side remains closed at this moment for renovations.

According to their response to one individual’s comment on Instagram, “At the moment, all reservations are suspended and will open at a future date, however, [they] always accept walk-ins.”

Wondering why Ralph Brennan’s closed and what’s going on over there? Well, the restaurant closed to make changes that will bring “a fresh approach to the menu, while staying true to the heart of New Orleans.” It will eventually fully reopen as Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio, and it will feature outdoor patios, a veranda, and dining rooms.

Once fully reopened, the menu will have Pasta Jambalaya, Gumbo Ya-Ya, and a Grilled Lobster BLT Po’ Boy — and (of course) beignets!

There is currently no timeline for this finalized refurbishment, but Disney said the restaurant will be closed for a “short time” as of the latest update in early January 2023. We’ll keep you posted as more information is revealed!
