One of the biggest perks of staying at a Disney World resort is having access to Disney World’s vast transportation system.
The Skyliner
If you need to get somewhere in Disney World, all you need to do is hop on a bus, a boat, the Monorail, or the Skyliner. However, when a mode of transportation goes down in Disney World, it could put a wrench in your plans. That’s why we’re reminding you that the Skyliner will be closed very soon!
Disney World’s Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment from January 22nd to 29th, 2023! So if you’re staying at Disney’s Pop Century, Art of Animation, Riviera, or Caribbean Beach Resort during that time, you will not be able to take the Skyliner to any of those resorts , Disney’s Hollywood Studios , or EPCOT.

Instead, you’ll need to take bus transportation to the parks from the Skyliner resorts. So keep that in mind as that could add a little extra time to your trips (especially if you have an advance dining reservation you need to make in time).

If you use the Skyliner to travel to those Disney World hotels that have it, you’ll also need to make alternative transportation plans. We’ll keep an eye on the closure and let you know when it’s operating again, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
