As Disney fans, it doesn’t surprise us that Disney attractions and hotels are some of the best in the world.

Disney Imagineers are generally WAY above the competition when it comes to theming AND technology. It seems that the industry, in general, understands this, too, because Disney just recently won BIG in the Theme Park Insider awards.
According to The Orlando Sentinel, Disney World just recently won BIG at the Theme Park Inside awards. Disney’s newest ride, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, won for the best new attraction. Also, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance won best attraction.

But that’s not all, Disney also won best theme park hotel for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

In Disneyland, Blue Bayou won the award for best theme park restaurant, while Disneyland’s version of Fantasmic! won best theme park show. Disneyland’s holidays presentation won for best holiday event. Go, Disneyland!

Disney dominated AGAIN when Tokyo DisneySea was voted as best theme park, while retired global ambassador and former president of Walt Disney Imagineering Bob Weis was named Insider of the Year.

However, Universal won the category of best Halloween event with Halloween Horror Nights (sorry, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party). Universal’s VelociCoaster also won best roller coaster.

We’ll have to see if Disney wins any more awards next year, particularly after two new attractions open in Disney World: Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana and TRON Lightcycle Run. Both attractions are set to open this year.
