Summer is just around the corner, and if you didn’t know, there are a LOT of reasons why Disney World is the place to be at the start of it!

If you haven’t heard, TONS of new experiences just started in Disney World for Cool Kids’ Summer! From Animal Kingdom to EPCOT to Disney World hotels, there’s a reason that May 26th is such a huge deal for Disney fans. Let’s take a look at everything happening in the parks, and bookmark this article so you don’t miss a thing!

Cool Kids’ Summer

Disney World’s Cool Kids’ Summer officially begins on May 26th and runs through September 8th! After making its debut in 2025, the summer event for kiddos is set to return. This year, they are adding even more characters and fun activities throughout Disney World for kids of all ages (including kids at heart, like us!).

Cool Kids’ Summer is filled with so many fun activities for little ones to enjoy! Meet your favorite Toy Story characters at Jessie’s Roundup in Magic Kingdom, check out GoofyCore at EPCOT as CommuniCore Hall, a dance party at Disney Springs, plus much more.

Bluey’s Wild World

What else can you do in Disney World this summer? Oh, yeah…Bluey for the very first time! The beloved show, Bluey, is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Get ready to experience Bluey’s Wild World as Bluey and Bingo take over the Conservation Station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch.

Families can head over to Bluey’s Wild World on the Wildlife Express Train, starting on May 26th, and play special games directly from Bluey episodes, meet and take pictures with Bluey and Bingo, and even discover animals native to Bluey’s home country, Australia, at Jumping Junction!

Beware! There are a few things you need to know before you go. For starters, you’ll need to get a Virtual Queue spot to be able to ride the Wildlife Express Train out to Conservation Station. Anyone with a valid admission to Animal Kingdom can try for a spot at 7 AM, and anyone who is scanned into Animal Kingdom can try for a spot at 10 AM. Capacity is limited to the queues filled up within seconds, so check out our Virtual Queue tips right here!

The chaos isn’t over when you make it to Bluey’s Wild World. We spoke to people who waited 60-90 minutes just to get inside for the games and dance party with Bluey and Bingo! Also, you can see the show from the line, so keep that in mind. There is also no traditional meet and greet with the characters — this is the only way to see and get close to them right now!

Bluey Has Officially Arrived in Disney World — Here’s Everything You Need to Know!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!

Over at Hollywood Studios, Disney is adding a new show — Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! This live show is inspired by Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+, and invites everyone to celebrate with the ultimate party at the Clubhouse. This new experience will be located in the former Disney Jr. Dance Party space at the new Walt Disney Studios area.

Look familiar? This show first debuted at Disneyland. There are currently eight showtimes per day, but be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date information!

NEW LAND Opens Early in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Speaking of, you can’t have the dance party unless the Walt Disney Studios area is open, right?! To that we say, correct, as well as the Walt Disney Studios Area is NOW open! The newly reimagined Walt Disney Studios Courtyard at Hollywood Studios soft opened last week, but is now officially available to guests.

You’ll find countless hidden details around the land and beloved characters…like Pua from Moana and Thumper from Bambi!

The other new attraction here — The Magic of Disney Animation — will not open until later in the summer.

BOTH Water Parks Open Just in Time for This Hotel Perk’s Return

For the first time in years, the summer of 2025 at Disney World saw BOTH Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach open at the same time. Normally, it is just one or the other that is open. Well, the trend continues this year, as BOTH water parks will be open this year, starting on May 26th through September 8th.

May 26th is also the first day of the free water park hotel perk, which is back after its debut in 2025. Guests staying at a Disney World hotel will get a free ticket to visit a water park on their check-in day!
