It’s the first of the month, so you know what time it is!

Disney Springs cookie capital Gideon’s Bakehouse just released their new flavors for January. We headed over this morning to check out their new treats and we’re sharing our thoughts with you!

This month, Gideon’s is focusing on cookie butter and butterscotch. Each of their items features these flavors, so get ready for an intense sugar rush!

An array of buttery treats!

First up we have the Cookie Butter Butterscotch Cookie which kind of sounds like a tongue twister. This combines the rich flavor of butterscotch with sugary cookie butter, all packed in one massive cookie.

Each Cookie Butter Butterscotch Cookie is nearly half a pound, with plenty of butterscotch chips and a cookie butter crumble inside. Let’s take a look!

The cookie has a soft texture but is a little bit crumbly. We could taste the cookie butter from the batter and got blasts of butterscotch from the chips, plus we also found it had a hint of cinnamon flavor as cookie butter typically does.

This cookie reminded us of a punched-up Nilla Wafer but much softer, especially because it wasn’t as thick as other cookies we’ve had here in the past. This brand-new cookie is available at Gideon’s now for $6.

The next treat on the menu for January is the Cookie Butter Buttercream Cake. Gideon’s explained they kept the cake itself to a basic vanilla to really let the cookie butter buttercream stand out. You can see the frosting takes up almost 50% of the slice!

We enjoyed this slice and agree that the pairing of the simple vanilla cake allowed the frosting to be the focus. The cake itself wasn’t dry at all, and the sprinkle of cookie crumble on the outside added a pleasant crunchy texture!

This is a VERY rich cake, and a little goes a long way, so you might want to split it with someone. Slices are priced at $9 each.

We also tested out the Cookie Butter Butterscotch Cold Brew. This cold drink has a Nitro Cold Brew along with butterscotch flavoring and a dash of cinnamon.

You can also see a little hint at the character featured for this month on the cup. When we tried this drink, we were surprised!

This is a contender for the best drink we’ve ever had at Gideon’s (it still falls a little bit short of the peanut butter flavor). We didn’t get a strong taste of butterscotch — it tasted lovely but we definitely got more cinnamon flavoring. If you don’t like your coffee beverages with a ton of extra syrup you might prefer this. You can get this cold brew for $6.
