To ensure we are equipping our readers with all the information they need, we will continue to report on all travel, safety, and COVID-related news that could impact a Disney Parks visit.
We’ve slowly but surely seen more aspects of Disney park and Disney Cruise Line operations return to a sense of normalcy since the pandemic-related closures.
Traditional character dining is back in the parks, health and safety guidelines have been relaxed, and Disney Cruise Line recently removed its negative COVID-19 testing requirement. Now, it looks like yet another Disney Cruise Line COVID policy is changing.
Disney Cruise Line has announced that in-person assembly drills will be required on embarkation day once again for all ships. Guests on board Disney cruise ships will have to report to an assigned assembly station at a designated time prior to setting sail.
In the past we had seen Disney conduct the assembly drills at varying times so that large groups weren’t gathered around one station at one time, but with health and safety regulations being relaxed this will no longer be the case. You can see the schedule for the phased rollout of the in-person drills below:
- November 12th: Disney Dream & Disney Fantasy
- November 14th: Disney Wish
- November 16th: Disney Wonder
- November 20th: Disney Magic
The assembly drills are designed to prepare all crew and guests on board on safety procedures in case the ship were to experience some sort of emergency. If you’re heading on a Disney Cruise soon, you’ll be able to find your assigned station on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app — it’ll even show you how to get there!
Disney recently updated its COVID-19 requirements on its ships — guests sailing with the Disney Cruise Line are no longer required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and do not have to submit proof of a negative test.
