It may not be Halloween yet but Disneyland is READY for the holidays!
Snow is already on Sleeping Beauty Castle and the Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure is almost here, and Disney just announced when you can get one of Disneyland’s most ICONIC holiday treats!
It’s CANDY CANE time! You might be wondering what could possibly be exceptional about a candy cane, but Disneyland’s candy canes are made special, as they are hand-pulled and hand-crafted by Cast Members. They also measure about 18 inches long, so they’re HUGE!
If that sounds like something you’d like, you need to know exactly HOW to get a candy cane. They’re only available at certain locations, on specific dates, and they tend to go FAST.
This year, you can get candy canes at two locations, one in Disneyland Park and one in Disney California Adventure. Take a look at the locations and dates below:
- Candy Palace at Disneyland Park: December 4th, 6th, 11th, 13th, 18th, 20th, and 24th
- Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure Park: December 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, and 25th
However, you must know that you can’t just casually stroll up to these places and place a candy cane order.
If you want a CHANCE to purchase a candy cane, you must enter the mobile waitlist, on which you add your name and phone number to get a text with the time you can purchase your candy cane. There is no guarantee that the candy canes won’t sell out before you’re able to purchase one, so the earlier you get on the mobile waitlist the better.
Disney has not yet released park hours for those dates in December but both parks typically open at 8AM, so you might want to plan to arrive at the gates as early as 7AM. Last year, we arrived at 7:15AM.
You must have a Park Pass Reservation (and valid park admission) to enter the park on the date of your choosing, so make sure you review those dates and get yours reserved as soon as possible. Last year, the candy canes cost $19.99 each, but Disney has not yet announced if they will be the same price this year.
We’ll be watching out for more updates from Disneyland so keep following DFB for more news!
