NEWS: MagicBand+ RELEASE DATE Announced for Disneyland

MagicBand+ debuted in Disney World earlier this year, and we were stoked to check out all the features of this new wearable tech.

But, many Disneyland fans were wondering if MagicBand+ would be coming to the west coast anytime soon, and then Disney announced that yes — MagicBand+ would be debuting in the parks “this fall.” And now, we know just when that day will be! MagicBand+ is being released at Disneyland Resort SOON and we’re sharing everything you need to know!

Mark your calendars, Disneyland fans — MagicBand+ is officially coming on October 26th, 2022, and will offer “a range of hands-free conveniences and immersive experiences!”

Plus, beginning on October 19th, eligible Magic Key Holders, Cast Members, and Disney Vacation Club Members will be able to be some of the first to purchase MagicBand+ at Disneyland Resort from select locations as well (with their regular discounts as well!).

And, Magic Key Holders can get $10 off an exclusive MagicBand+ design while supplies last. Pick up this exclusive band at Starcade in Disneyland Park, Super Store Featuring Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, and the building adjacent to Star Wars Trading Post in Downtown Disney.

So, what can we expect from MagicBand+ at Disneyland? Well, so far we know that it will interact with certain entertainment at Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure…

…and it will also interact with the new nighttime shows coming to Disneyland — “World of Color — One” and “Wondrous Journeys” when they debut in January 2023. Not to mention you’ll be able to play the Batuu Bounty Hunters game in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, too!

The bands will at first be available in 18 different colors and designs, including five exclusive Disneyland Resort prints — though the bands will work at both Disneyland and Disney World. Previous versions of the old MagicBand will no longer work at Disneyland Resort, though.

Once MagicBand+ launches in Disneyland, you’ll be able to find them at various stores in Disneyland Park, Disneyland California Adventure, Downtown Disney, and Disneyland Resort Hotels.
