Hurricane Ian has strengthened to a category 3 storm and is still on a path that could impact Florida.
Thus far, Disney World has announced a temporary change in dining cancelation policies and closures for certain hotels. But what if you’re going on a Disney Cruise? Well, now we have an important update.
Disney has a weather warnings page for its cruises. As of September 26th at 9PM, a message was posted indicating that Disney Cruise Line has been closely monitoring Hurricane Ian. Based on the projected forecast, Disney anticipates that the Disney Wish, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Dream will sail as scheduled.
They note, however, that there is a “possibility” that the Disney Wish will return to Port Canaveral on Friday, September 30th, a little later than originally scheduled. Disney has said that they will notify guests if it becomes “necessary to delay embarkation” for the Disney Wish sailing on September 30th.
You can see Disney’s full message below.
If you’ll be going on a Disney Cruise, you can check their weather updates page for more news ahead of your trip. And check back with us for further details.

Heavy rainfall is expected to impact central Florida Wednesday and Thursday, potentially causing flash, urban, and small stream flooding.
Update: On September 28th, the hurricane was upgraded to a category 4 hurricane. Disney also shared that The Wish cruise set to sail on September 30th, would be canceled. You can get all the details on that change here.
