One of the best things about visiting Disney World is seeing the characters!
There are also so many opportunities to see them, too — they turn up in character cavalcades, in parades, and at character meet and greets. Some even roam around the parks so you can randomly bump into them. Now, characters are returning to the parks, and that includes some very popular character meet and greets in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
This morning, we headed to Animal Kingdom to watch some character flotillas and we saw some brand NEW ONES. These are called the Adventure Flotillas and there are two to catch! First, we saw Russell from Up! He was greeting guests from a boat on the Discovery River.
Then, we saw some characters we haven’t seen in a LONG time — Launchpad McQuack and Scrooge McDuck! They’re back!!!
We also headed on over to Dinoland U.S.A. to check out some returning meet and greets at Donald’s Dino-Bash.
Donald was there in his dino costume saying hello to guests and posing for photos with them! Look at how happy he is to be back!
Then we met Daisy, who makes her dino outfit look SO fashionable. She is a QUEEN.
Finally, we got to say hello to Chip and Dale in their Dino outfits (after they took an acorn smoothie break, of course).
We’re so happy to see even more meet and greets returning to Disney World. If you’re looking to meet characters in the parks, be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for times and locations in each park! You can also use the app to get times for cavalcades, flotillas, and parades so you don’t have to miss a single character!
Want an even easier way to meet your favorite characters? Consider a character dining experience. Just remember that these are VERY popular, so if you want a specific restaurant, make that advance dining reservation as early as you can — the earliest you can make reservations is 60 days before the first day of your trip.
