Flying hasn’t been easy for many travelers lately.
From increasing airfare and fees to delayed and canceled flights, getting from Point A to Point B might be a challenge these days. Staffing shortages and already reduced flight schedules are partially to blame, and experts don’t see the airline industry correcting itself anytime soon. But, in the wake of thousands of canceled flights and traveler nightmares, one airline will resume servicing FOUR routes from Orlando International Airport!
It’s about to be just a little bit easier to get to Disney World, as Orlando International Airport and WestJet have announced the airline will resume service once per week to four different destinations in Canada!
Great news! Our friends @WestJet will resume 1x/week service to these charming routes:
🇨🇦 St. Johns, Newfoundland – Oct 8
🇨🇦 Vancouver, British Columbia – Nov 12
🇨🇦 Regina, Saskatchewan – Dec 16
🇨🇦 Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Dec 16

The airline had previously halted service to Orlando International Airport (MCO) from these cities in the wake of airline industry issues. But, soon passengers will be able to catch a flight from MCO to:
- St. Johns, Newfoundland (October 8th)
- Vancouver, British Columbia (November 12th)
- Regina, Saskatchewan (December 16th)
- Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (December 16th)
If you’ve been waiting for flights to and from Orlando and any of these cities, you’re in luck! Just make sure you check out the starting dates for each route before you get to planning.
WestJet joins several other airlines that recently added nonstop flights to Orlando International Airport, including Avelo Air, Norse Atlantic Airways, Spirit Airlines, and Breeze Airways.
A whole slew of airlines (11 to be exact) have also been announced for the new terminal coming to Orlando International Airport, which will feature new technology, restaurants, and stores, and will open on September 19th of this year.
