We love continuing to see meet-and-greets return in Disney World!
It may seem like almost everything is back to normal in the U.S. Disney parks, but that’s not the case. Some restaurants are still closed, and some offerings like the Harmony Barber Shop and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique recently got reopening dates. At the end of June, we got the news that more meet-and-greets were returning to Disney World, and after meeting Jasmine, Aladdin, Cinderella’s Stepsisters, and Snow White, it’s time to meet one of the Fab 5!
While checking out the My Disney Experience app today, we discovered that Goofy was listed to meet guests at Storybook Circus in the afternoon at 2:30, 3:25, and 4:20 PM. So we headed over and sure enough…
…there he was! He was dressed in his flight uniform and was enthusiastically meeting guests. Disney World announced that characters would return to Pete’s Silly Sideshow and before the closures, several characters met inside of the Sideshow. However, Cast Members said Goofy is currently the only character meeting in this area and he’s outside his former home at Pete’s Silly Sideshow.
There is no Disney Genie+ option for this meet and greet — everyone waits in the same line together. The line is also mostly outside, so be sure to bring that water or an umbrella to keep yourself hydrated and cool! It’s easy to miss this meet and greet since it’s in the back of the park and not in a building with a sign, however you’ll find him near the tent outside of Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Storybook Circus.
If you’re checking out more meet-and-greets around Magic Kingdom, the Evil Stepsisters meet-and-greet has recently changed, and the Darth Vader meet-and-greet will be returning to Hollywood Studios soon as well!
Keep an eye on DFB and we’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the Disney news we hear.
