REVIEW: This Disney World Treat Tastes Like Apple Pie…But Isn't

To celebrate this patriotic holiday, Disney World is rolling out some 4th of July merchandise, plus offering fireworks at both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, and, of course, some limited time treats and food offerings! Today, we’re heading to Disney Springs to try one of those limited time treats.

Today, we’re trying the Apple Pie Éclair from Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs, and is there anything more American than apple pie?

Apple Pie Eclair

The Apple Pie Éclair is an eclair filled with a white chocolate cinnamon apple mousse garnished with whipped caramel white ganache, cinnamon apples, and crispy pearls. On top you’ll see an American flag decoration, plus the crispy pearls are red, white, and blue so they’re in on the fun, too!

We were SO shocked by how much this tasted like apple pie! The mousse is really what contributes to the apple flavor, the diced apples on the inside add a nice crunch, but aren’t the major contributing factor in the apple flavor. Everything just works really well together. The éclair is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside just the way it’s supposed to be.

It tastes SO much like apple pie!

The white chocolate flag is a little bit sweeter than we would have preferred, but when it works with all of the other flavors in the éclair, it’s not too overpowering. If you like éclairs, you will really like this treat, but just be aware that it is very creamy, and may make a mess. You may not like this treat if you don’t like éclairs or are not a fan of apple pie, but Amorette’s has a ton of other yummy treats you can try instead.

The Apple Pie Éclair is only available until July 4th, so make sure to grab it while you can! It is $7 and available at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs.

If you’re looking for other July 4th offerings in Disney Springs, you can grab Cheeseburger Poutine at The Daily Poutine until July 31st.
