REVIEW: If You Get One Treat in Magic Kingdom This Weekend, Get This One

It’s no secret that Disney World loves to come out with a limited-edition treat to keep up with the old classics here and there.

And it’s also probably no secret that here at DFB, we love a good limited-edition treat, too! Disney food is kind of our thing, and over in Magic Kingdom we tried a holiday snack that sounded too simple to be anything special — let’s find out if we were wrong!

Disney World is celebrating the Fourth of July with some exclusive eats inspired by the U.S.A., and who are we to complain? We’re trying out the Berry Shortcake from Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom! This is a plain shortcake topped with berries and whipped cream. It sounds simply delicious, but is it?!

It’s photogenic!

Okay, so it’s a fairly simple dessert, but sometime It was DELICIOUS. Simple things are often times the best. The shortcake was more like a pound cake and held up really well under the moisture of the berries and whipped cream. We also liked that the berries were fresh. Those sprinkles? We liked their crunch!

The only real complaint we have is that it has SO many berries that we wanted more cake to go with all those delicious berries. So MORE CAKE, PLEASE?!?!?!
