You can find sports bars in a lot of places, but did you know that there are two great ones in Disney World?

City Works Eatery and Pour House is a popular restaurant in Disney Springs, known for having an extensive beer list and pub food. Rix Sports Bar and Grill, located in Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, is a lesser known but great alternative for guests staying in or near Coronado Springs. Both spots have great drink menus and plenty of TVs for catching the game. Let’s discuss!

Breaking Down the Restaurants

Let’s start by going over what each sports bar has to offer guests.

City Works Eatery and Pour House

City Works Eatery and Pour House is located on the West Side of Disney Springs, and they’re known for their vast selection of craft brews and pub food, with classic American eats and shareable plates. Reservations are encouraged but not required.

City Works has a number of high-def TVs, including one with a 165-inch screen, for watching live sports. Their extensive drink menu features craft beers, macro lagers, frozen drinks, wine on tap, special local Florida brewery drinks, and more from around the world.

City Works is actually a chain restaurant, and the Disney Springs spot is one of nine locations in the United States, so you may live near one. It also features an outdoor bar for on-the-go food and drinks. They serve lunch and dinner daily, and brunch on weekends.

Rix Sports Bar and Grill

Rix Sports Bar and Grill is an upscale sports bar located in Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. The menu features classic bar food like burgers, wings, and nachos, as well as hand-crafted cocktails and local draft beers.

With 31 TVs around the restaurant, Rix Sports Bar is another great spot for catching live sports.

Rix Sports Bar serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and their menu has unique options like watchos, aka nachos, using waffle fries instead of tortilla chips!

They also serve colorful cotton candy cheesecake, complete with cotton candy on top.

Atmosphere

Both City Works and Rix Sports are obviously sports bars, but Rix Sports Bar offers more of an upscale atmosphere, if you’re looking for that kind of dining experience.

Both City Works and Rix are great places for catching a game, with each space boasting quite a few TVs.

The design for Rix Sports Bar is simple and modern, and there’s no Disney theming, so keep that in mind if you prefer to dine like that in Disney World.

But City Works doesn’t have Disney theming either, and considering that it’s a chain restaurant, you might be able to find this same restaurant near you. It also has outdoor seating and a to-go window.

Given that it’s hard to find spots around Disney World to watch a sports game, either of these spots could help you out during your next Disney World visit!

Menu

Pub food is the name of the game for these two sports bars. At City Works, guests can choose between Bar Bites or To Share plates, with prices ranging from $11 to $12 for small dishes like Popcorn Chicken or Cheese Curds.

And shareable dishes at City Works range from $15 to $20 for dishes like Buffalo Chicken Dip, Queso Dip, and Buffalo Shrimp.

At Rix Sports Bar, appetizers include dishes that expand upon typical bar food, like Chicken Tinga Egg Roll, Pork Potstickers, and Watchos of course, ranging from $14 to $20.

The entree menu for City Works includes a range of options, from Salmon and Pork Chips to Tex Mex Mac N’ Cheese, but some of these dishes cost as high as $39 for the Smoked BBQ Platter.

 

City Works also has a range of burgers and other sandwiches, including a Nashville Hot Chicken Wrap for $17 and Filet Mignon Sliders for $22.

Rix’s menu features burgers and sandwiches as well as other additions to typical pub food, like a Fresh Catch Sandwich for $22 or a Meatloaf Sandwich for $19.50.

As sports bars, you can expect extensive drink menus, with both spots offering local craft beers and cocktails. At City Works, you can find a beer for literally anyone, with their menu listing amber ales, lagers, Belgians, wheat ales, pale ales, IPAs, imperial IPAs, stouts, porters, ciders, seltzers, sours, macro lagers, beer flights, and specialty cocktails. If you’re a beer person, you might want to visit City Works at least once.

However, if you’re more of a cocktail person, City Works has a pretty typical cocktail menu, while Rix Sports Bar’s Signature Cocktails are unique and delicious, like the Honey Suckle Lemonade for $13.

When it comes to breakfast options, only Rix Sports Bar is open daily for breakfast. City Works is open for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, and while their brunch menu has a lot more to choose from, Rix is a good option if you just want classic breakfast food on a Tuesday morning.

And for dessert, City Works does have interesting desserts like Peanut Butter Snickers Pie and a Baked Cookie sundae.

Rix also has a unique offering in its Cotton Candy Cheesecake for $10. This item used to be a kid’s menu offering, that has “graduated” to the regular menu!

The prices for desserts at both spots range from $9 to $12, so whatever you choose will cost about the same.

If you’re a guest of Coronado Springs, Rix is a great alternative to City Works. Both spots offer bar food for comparable prices, with some standouts at either restaurant. Also, Rix has breakfast every day! Keep reading DFB for all your Disney World restaurant news!
