Disney+, Disney’s streaming service, is home to a lot of exclusive content, including Marvel shows like Moon Knight, Loki, and WandaVision. It has also expanded the Star Wars universe with shows like The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

A few months ago, Disney announced plans to expand the service even further with the option to subscribe to a Disney+ plan with advertisements at a lower cost, which would (theoretically) allow more individuals to subscribe to the service. The service has continued to grow since its release in 2019, with estimates claiming that by the year 2026, Disney+ will have more subscribers than Netflix. Today, Disney met for the Fiscal Year 2022 Quarter 2 Earnings call, which provided some insight into how Disney+ is doing.
Disney reported that 7.9 million subscribers have been added to Disney+ this quarter. This brings the total number of subscribers to 137.7 million. This is a 33% increase since April of 2021.

The total number of subscriptions across all of Disney’s direct to consumer offerings is over 205 million, this includes things like Hulu and ESPN+.

Hulu reported a 10% increase in subscribers, and ESPN+ increased its subscriber numbers by 62%.
