REVIEW: Disney World’s Latest Treat Did NOT Deliver on Its Promise

Disney is celebrating Mother’s Day this week, and just like any other holiday, they’re going all out — especially when it comes to food! We love to try specialty food items, and have recently eaten a Millennium Falcon Sundae for Star Wars Day, a strawberry dressed up as a carrot for Easter, and even a St. Patrick’s Day whoopie pie!

Now, we’re heading over to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to try a limited time Mother’s Day treat!

Today, we tried the Strawberry Bliss Cupcake from Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The Strawberry Bliss Cupcake is a yellow cupcake filled with strawberry boba topped with strawberry buttercream and white vanilla wafers with white chocolate and nonpareils. We’ll give it some credit — it is pretty (and very pink).

Y’all — this thing was SWEET — TOO sweet. We also felt like the strawberry flavors tasted very artificial, which just made this one WAY too much, especially with the nonpareils.

It is Cute Though

There’s enough of a sugary flavor here to make our teeth ache! So let’s just say that we didn’t find a lot of bliss in this snack.

The one thing we DID like, though, was the yellow cake — it was moist and didn’t taste too sweet, but it wasn’t enough to balance out the rest of the cupcake’s overpowering flavors (at least in our opinion).

Here’s the thing, though — kids will probably love this cupcake for the very reason we didn’t like it. So if you’ve got a kid interested in trying it out or if you’ve got a GIANT sweet tooth, we say go for it! This cupcake is available at Landscape of Flavors only until May 11th for $5.79.
