Even Disney World attractions wake up sometimes and decide to take a day off! While some attractions, like Expedition Everest, have been unavailable for a few months now, other rides may randomly close without warning. You never know when a Star Wars animatronic on Rise of the Resistance or the Na’vi shaman on Na’vi River Journey may decide to take a break!
We miss ya!
Recently, we’ve been noticing that a popular Disney World attraction has been having some issues lately. Let’s take a look!
During our visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we received a message on the My Disney Experience app that said, “On behalf of the entire team at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, I’d like to apologize that Na’vi River Journey is currently unavailable. Our cast members have been working diligently to get the attraction up and running again, and we are sorry you are not able to experience this attraction at this time.”

Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time Na’vi River Journey has experienced an unexpected closure. Over the past few weeks, we’ve noticed that the attraction has been listed as “Temporarily Closed” on and off throughout the day.
What’s going on with Na’vi River Journey?
Currently, Disney has not explained why the attraction keeps closing, but we’ll let you know if we learn any more details about the closure. For now, we’ll have to wait and see when the attraction reopens!
