Disney’s new cruise ship is set to take its maiden voyage this summer!

After some delays due in part to the global pandemic, the ship will now set sail in July instead of June. We’ve been keeping up with the development of the ship, including what entertainment will be on board, as well as the restaurants, attractions, and more. Now, we’re getting a closer look at the shows on the Disney Wish!

On the Disney Wish, there will be 3 shows, and 2 of them are brand new!

First, we have the return of Aladdin — A Musical Spectacular. The 2 brand new shows are Disney The Little Mermaid and Disney Seas the Adventure! In a new video from Disney, we get a look at never-before-seen concept art and some footage from the development process of these shows. Let’s take a closer look!

As we had learned before, The Walt Disney Theatre is inspired by the “fantastic floral worlds of the animated classic Fantasia.”

We’ve seen a look at the concept art of the stage, but some new details were revealed in the video! There is a closer look at some of the sketches for the design around the stage, featuring a fantasy forest environment with animals.

Here’s another look! Disney says they’ve made the theatre prime for special effects and projection mapping to enhance their storytelling.

We also got some sketches of the entrance to the theatre, which shows a bust of Walt Disney.

And, here’s another sketch that looks to be an entryway into the theatre.

We’ve already seen some concept art of The Little Mermaid show on board.

But, we also got a new look at the concept art for some of Ariel’s costumes in the show!

And Disney Seas the Adventure stars Goofy as he takes a journey through some familiar Disney stories and songs!
