REVIEW: Mushroom Lovers — Disney’s New Snack is For You and ONLY You!

If you’re traveling to Disney California Adventure soon, you can’t miss the Food & Wine Festival!

Lucky Fortune Cookery

We’ve been experiencing all the excitement so far, including special entertainment, merchandise, and lots of delicious eats! And while you’re at the park, don’t forget to stop by Lucky Fortune Cookery for some special festival bites.

Eats

It’s made with Hoisin-glazed mushrooms, Asian slaw, and jalapeño in a steamed bao. It’s brand-new this year, AND it’s available to purchase with the Sip & Savor Pass!

Mushroom Bao Bun

The veggies in this bun are fresh, but kind of plain. We didn’t taste much of the Hoisin flavor with the mushrooms, so it could’ve used more. There was a HINT of Asian flavor in there, but we didn’t think it was enough. If you aren’t a fan of mushrooms, you’ll probably want to steer clear.

However, if you’d like to try this snack out for yourself, it’s $6.45.

Overall

We didn’t hate the Mushroom Bao, but it could have been more exciting with some more flavor. We would’ve liked a touch of soy sauce or some more flavor on the mushrooms, but overall we think there are better things on the regular menu at Lucky Fortune Cookery!
