REVIEW: Nothing Screams ‘Tropical’ Like the ABC Logo, According to Disney

What’s better than one new dessert? How about EIGHT new desserts!

Chocolate cheesecake for the win!

In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, eight new springtime treats have arrived, including the Orange Blossom Shake, a S’mores Cupcake, and more! ABC Commissary added two new treats to their menu, both with totally different flavors and ingredients, but delicious nonetheless. We’ve already tried the Mint Chocolate Chip Cheesecake, and now we’re here to tell you all about a new tropical treat!

ABC Commissary is a quick service spot in Hollywood Studios, where you can get dishes like Mediterranean Salad or the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich, among other yummy options, while surrounded by posters of ABC shows.

The Tropical Tart is new to ABC Commissary’s menu, and it’s a Mango-Passion Fruit Curd-filled Graham Cracker Tart topped with Whipped Raspberry-Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta, Toasted Coconut, and Dehydrated Strawberry and Passion Fruit for $5.49. You also get a white chocolate ABC medallion on top, which is a little odd, but we’ll take it!

Tropical Tart

If you’re a big fan of tropical flavors, you will LOVE this dessert! The mango-passion fruit curd is smooth and rich, and the mango helps balance out the tart passion fruit flavor. The raspberry mousse is made with real raspberries, but it’s very light without a strong raspberry flavor.

It’s pretty AND tasty!

The dehydrated passion fruit and strawberries on top add a big punch of tart, but overall the flavors are balanced by the sweetness of the raspberry-vanilla bean panna cotta. The only thing we’d change is to add a stronger raspberry flavoring to the panna cotta!

Look at that!

You probably have to like fruity desserts and tart flavors to enjoy this, so if you’re looking for a richer, non-fruity dessert, this isn’t really for you.
