REVIEW: We Found the Most Insta-Worthy Treat at EPCOT's Flower and Garden Festival

This year’s EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival has officially kicked off and we’re here checking everything out!

There are almost 20 food booths as well as fun entertainment and new merchandise at the festival this year. We’ve already tried some delicious items, like the Bomboloni at the Primavera Kitchen and pretty much everything at Jardin de Fiestas. But now it’s time for a sweet treat — so, come along with us as we check out this year’s funnel cake at the festival!

Over in the American Adventure pavilion at EPCOT’s World Showcase is the Funnel Cake Stand.

This is where you can usually find a special funnel cake for EPCOT’s various festivals.

Food

This funnel cake is topped with strawberry ice cream, cheesecake crumbles, strawberry drizzle, and whipped cream for $10.50.

Unfortunately, this funnel cake wasn’t exactly a win in our books. Like some funnel cakes at other festivals here, the ice cream on top had very artificial-tasting flavors. The strawberry flavor honestly reminded us a little bit of cough medicine because it was pretty sickly sweet. But if you love very sweet treats, you might enjoy this one!

The funnel cake itself, however, was cooked very well. And the whipped cream on top was excellent! The cheesecake pieces were good, but they had a slightly gummy texture that wasn’t our favorite. We do have to point out that this treat is SO pretty! The bright colors and dusting of powdered sugar make it a gorgeous addition to your Insta feed.

Overall

We probably won’t be back for this particular funnel cake, but the plain funnel cakes at this stand are very delicious. And kids or even adults who enjoy very sweet treats will probably still enjoy this one! The artificial flavors aren’t our favorite, but the whipped cream and cheesecake pieces definitely added some good texture and flavor.
