If you’ve been keeping up with the 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts news today, then you know that there’s one hot topic that everyone is discussing — the Figment popcorn bucket.
It was announced a few days before the festival and then this morning, the line to purchase the bucket filled up quickly, reaching an estimated 6.5-hour wait. With so much popularity, it wasn’t too surprising when the bucket already started to pop up on eBay thanks to resellers. But amidst those listings, we found something that we just HAD to share!
When we first searched “Figment popcorn bucket” we had to scroll past listing after listing of these buckets selling for $100+ each.
However, hidden amidst the real listings is this one, the “Bad Artwork Sketch of 2022 EPCOT Festival of the Arts Figment Popcorn Bucket.” It was posted by user Juliaki1 and is meant to benefit charity, with 90% of the proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity.
If you definitely don’t want to pay $270 for a Figment popcorn bucket on eBay, you can bid on this sketch instead, which is already up to $285 with 87 bids (and climbing!). The auction ends next Friday at 11:16AM, so there’s plenty of time to donate to a good cause.
As of 6:15PM on the first day, the bids for the “Bad Artwork Sketch” had climbed to a whopping $510 (with a total of 95 bids!).
And as an added bonus, the listing says that the seller will throw in a bag of microwave popcorn as well…what’s a popcorn bucket without popcorn?!

After posting on Twitter, we even got a reply from the eBay lister (@JulfromFL). Let’s raise some money for charity!!!

UPDATE: The next day, Julia gave an update on a Twitter thread about what had happened with the bidding for this sketch! Basically, the bids were reaching the thousands and after a mix-up about one of the biggest bids, Julia will be raising money for charity in a new format: 100 copies will be made of the sketch (one person will get the original!), available for $10. The sketches will go on sale on January 18th at 12 PM Eastern, plus a t-shirt will be coming out soon featuring the sketch! For the t-shirts, proceeds will go to José Andrés’ World Kitchen.

I love the level of sarcasm/salt in the seller’s description! I’m in Epcot today and those lines are absolutely insane…which is great for me, shorter lines for all the food and art!
Hi TJ! I hope you have a wonderful time in Epcot today and get your hands on some great food and art!
