This weekend is the runDisney 2022 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. Which means…a special treat has arrived!
Pineapple Lanai
If you like your treats beautiful and you’re visiting for the marathon, you might want to plan to stop by Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Why? There’s a limited Dole Whip treat that’s both delicious, perfectly Instagram-worthy, and excellent for a post-run recovery.
We visited Pineapple Lanai in the Polynesian Village Resort to try out the returning Blue Hawaiian Float in honor of the 2022 runDisney Marathon Weekend! As you can see, we came across a fairly long line, so you might want to prepare for a bit of a wait.

We saw this special runDisney float in 2020, but this year it’s a bit different! For 2022 it’s made with pineapple juice, Dole Whip, popping candy, and coconut rum for $13. You can also get it nonalcoholic (without the coconut rum) for $6.38.

And even though the Blue Hawaiian Dole Whip Float has changed since 2020, it’s just as beautiful in 2022!
It’s the runDisney Blue Hawaiian Float!
The blue liquid is pineapple juice dyed blue and the flower is actually edible! The popping candy is basically just Pop Rocks, and they kind of tasted like blue raspberry to us. The 2020 float was made with lime Dole Whip, but this year you’re getting straight-up pineapple.
