NEWS: New Year's Eve Fireworks Announced for Disney World

It seems like Halloween was just yesterday, and yet we’re already preparing for New Year’s Eve celebrations to take place in Disney World!

Fireworks in Magic Kingdom

We’ve shared details about some New Year’s Eve events you can attend in Disney World to ring in 2022 (including one event that costs $700!!!), but now we’ve got an update on New Year’s Eve fireworks in the parks!

Where will you be able to see New Year’s Eve fireworks in Disney World? We had previously seen that several of the parks would be staying open until midnight or later, but now official fireworks details have been announced! A huge thanks to our reader Joe (@schreiberjoe on Instagram) for alerting us to this.

Magic Kingdom

We actually have to go back to December 30th for the start of Magic Kingdom’s New Year’s Eve celebrations. Just as it has done in previous years, on December 30th, 2021, Magic Kingdom will be sending off its New Year’s Eve fireworks in a sort-of pre-New Year’s Eve celebration.

On the 30th, guests will be able to enjoy Disney Enchantment at 6:30PM and then the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks at 11:50PM.

On December 31st, once again Disney Enchantment will be shown at 6:30PM, and Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks will be shown at 11:50PM.

If you’re hoping to see multiple fireworks shows in one night, Magic Kingdom is a good spot to be. Or, you could head to EPCOT… .

EPCOT

At EPCOT, guests will get to enjoy some New Year’s Eve fireworks on December 31st. On the 31st, Harmonious will be presented at 6:30PM, and then the New Year’s countdown fireworks will be shown starting at 11:54PM.

The parks can be very busy for New Year’s Eve, so if you’re hoping to get a good fireworks viewing spot you’ll want to keep those crowds in mind and potentially start sitting down to get that spot pretty early.

Hollywood Studios

New Year’s Eve fireworks information has not yet been shared for Hollywood Studios, but the Disney World calendar does note that the park will be open from 9AM-12AM on December 31st.

Animal Kingdom

As you might have expected, New Year’s Eve fireworks will not take place in Animal Kingdom. On December 31st, 2021 the park will be open from 9AM-7PM.

Soon It’ll Be 2022!

And that’s a look at the fireworks that will be available in Disney World this year for New Year’s eve (as of the moment). Keep in mind that all of these things are subject to change in the future. We’ll keep an eye out for more details!
