REVIEW: You Might Want to SKIP This New Treat at Disney's Hollywood Studios

If you’ve heard us talk about PizzeRizzo in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you know it’s not one of our favorite places to eat (though we still respect all you puffy pizza lovers out there).

Although we’re always the ones to argue that there are way better places to grab a meal in Disney World, there have been some surprisingly good treats here lately like the Muppet Haunted Mansion eclairs! And, with the upcoming holidays comes a new (and HUGE) list of holiday treats, and some are located here. So, we’re back to try a NEW cannoli flavor — let’s see if it’s worth running to PizzeRizzo!

Now, we’ve tried our fair share of cannolis from PizzeRizzo over the years — some of them were clear winners like the Hazelnut Crunch Cannoli while others were rather…average (sorry, Pumpkin Cannoli). And, for the holidays this year, PizzeRizzo is welcoming a new cannoli to the lineup — the Butterscotch Caramel Cannoli!

This treat will cost ya $4.99 and is a holiday cannoli filled with caramel cheesecake, butterscotch chips, and chocolate flakes. Plus, the edges are dipped in chocolate and then topped with sprinkles and a dusting of powdered sugar.

So, how does the new cannoli stack up? Well, it has all the same features that we’ve come to find in the PizzeRizzo cannoli which, depending on how you like your cannolis, might be disappointing. When we bit into the shell, we found that there wasn’t much of a crunch or flavor to it. And, while we did enjoy the filling, we found ourselves wishing that there was more of a butterscotch flavor.

So, once again the PizzeRizzo cannoli fell a bit flat for us compared to the other holiday treats that have been introduced around Disney World this year. But, if you’re a fan of cannolis and butterscotch this one still might be worth a try! And, while we may not be praising PizzeRizzo for its cannoli-making skills, one thing we can get behind is the new Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate that also just arrived on the menu!
