Disney World has a few different collections of souvenirs for their 50th Anniversary.
They can be found at various locations around the parks, but in the Magic Kingdom you’ll find the Celebration and Castle collections over in the Emporium gift shop. The Vault Collection — which has all kinds of vintage items — is at the Main Street Cinema on Main Street, U.S.A. Two more vintage souvenirs just made their way into the Magic Kingdom, and if you love all things old-school Disney, you’ll definitely want to check them out.
The first new item we found is the Original Mickey Plush. We’ve only seen Minnie so far in the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs. But now Mickey has arrived at the Main Street Cinema with the rest of the Vault Collection.
This Mickey is dressed in a suit with red pants and a red bowtie. Look at his big head! What a cutie!
He’s got BIG ears that definitely remind us of older versions of Mickey toys. (But not the REALLY old Mickey toys that were a little bit terrifying — do y’all remember those too??)
We think this is a perfect item for collectors, and if you want the complete set, as we said, we found Minnie in her pretty yellow dress over at the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs as well.
Both of these plushes have the history of the toy on the back of the box. They’re each $49.99.
Nearby, at Village Gifts in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland, we found more vintage items. These got separated from the group, somehow, because most of the Vault Collection is just at the Main Street Cinema.
This is a set of three vintage metal Disney World signs.
There’s one with the Cinderella Castle and Mickey Mouse, one with the original Disney World logo (that even says “Opens Oct. ’71”!), and another that looks like a license plate.
These come together in a pretty box with the Cinderella Castle on the front.
You can get the set of three for $49.99. These are a fun and unique addition we bet a lot of collectors will enjoy. We’ve seen lots of cute 50th Anniversary merchandise, so make sure to keep following DFB to see all the newest items.
