Disney World is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in a BIG way.

There are new shows, rides, merchandise, and (our personal favorite) LOTS of snacks and treats that have all debuted with the start of the 50th Anniversary festivities. Disney World transportation even got in on the action with some decorated monorails, Skyliners, and buses. But the 50th Anniversary-themed bus isn’t the only one that gets to celebrate the big occasion!

In Disney World, you might be lucky enough to step aboard a bus that’s gotten a complete 50th Anniversary makeover in terms of its outdoor design…

…but, that doesn’t mean that Disney World’s other buses can’t get in on the 50th Anniversary fun too!  Recently, we noticed that a lot of Disney buses have been putting up special 50th anniversary messages on their destination signs. The messages we saw celebrated 50 years of different Disney World fun! For example, one bus noted that it was celebrating 50 years of Mickey ears.

We also spotted one that was celebrating 50 years of castle proposals (which just makes our hearts happy).

Some of the buses had resort-themed messages, like this bus heading to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, which was celebrating 50 years of luaus.

Another bus, this one heading to Disney’s Pop Century Resort, was celebrating 50 years of yesterdays and tomorrows. That’s a cute, subtle nod to Pop’s theme of celebrating big things from the past.

…and one heading to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge was celebrating 50 years of jungle jokes.

The messages are a really cute way to bring a little more celebration into your Disney World trip! So be on the lookout for more messages during your vacation if you’re heading to Disney soon.
