One of the major design themes for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary is the “EARidescent” color scheme.

We’ve seen banners, merchandise, and decorations with iridescent colors (get it? EARidescent?), which usually include shimmery blue and purple pastels. Disney World has even promised us several new treats for the 50th Anniversary that have the new color scheme, and we’re on our way to check one of them out in EPCOT today!

You can find the new EARidescent Croissant Donut in EPCOT at Brew-Wing at the EPCOT Experience in the Odyssey Events Pavilion.

The EARidescent Croissant Donut is one of several new treats coming to Disney World in honor of the 50th Anniversary. On top of this traditional Cronut, you’ll find Blue Frosting and Sprinkles.

Overall, this was a really good dessert! We did notice that ours was a little tough and hard to chew, so we may have gotten one that was slightly older than the bunch! But the flavors that were there were absolutely delicious.

Croissant Doughnut purists might find it to be too tough or on the “stale” side to really enjoy, so if you’re looking for that buttery, fall-apart consistency, then you might be disappointed. If you’re here expecting Dominique Ansel (the Chef best known for inventing the “Cronut”), don’t get your hopes up too high.

Otherwise, this is a super tasty treat complete with the EARidescent theme we’re seeing in a ton of other sweets around Disney World.

We certainly enjoyed this treat enough to want to return later and see if ours was just an older Cronut!
