REVIEW: We Didn’t Expect to Find the Most GORGEOUS 50th Anniversary Treat at THIS Disney World Spot, But Here We Are!

It’s finally the BIG day!

Today is Disney World’s 50th anniversary! We’ve been taking you LIVE with us around the theme parks and resorts to show you the latest in food, decor, merchandise, entertainment, and more. Right now, we’re checking out the celebrations happening at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and they’ve got a brand new treat to celebrate the anniversary!

The Roaring Fork is a quick service location at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, but now it is also home to the new Petit Stump Cake! While we’re used to seeing petit cakes at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs, it looks like Wilderness Lodge has made its own spin on these mini cakes.

We got it!

This petit stump cake is made with Chocolate Cake, Birthday Cake Buttercream Filling, and is surrounded by Chocolate “Bark” Fondant. It’s also topped with a 50th Anniversary Chocolate Coin! The cake matches the resort’s theme very well, so let’s dig in and see how it tastes!

This cake was moist and when you get the right ratio of cake and filling, it tastes similar to an Oreo! The filling and frosting were VERY sweet and there was a little bit too much frosting on top. Regardless, the filling had a nice birthday cake flavor and went well with the cake.

The Stump Cake!

The frosting, on the other hand, was pretty much flavorless outside of being super sweet. The fondant was as good as fondant could be (which isn’t too good, but at least it’s edible!). It wasn’t particularly mind-blowing, but it wasn’t a terrible cake either!
