We love trying out new treats in Disney World.
One of the most iconic places to find Disney treats, new and old, is the Main Street Confectionery. This spot has been closed for a while for some refurbishment, but it’s finally set to open soon, on September 29th. We walked past the Confectionery recently and got to see some of the changes that have already been made to this space.
While you can’t go inside the Main Street Confectionery just yet (since it won’t open until this Wednesday, September 29th), you can check out some updated window signs and displays out front!
On the windows, we spotted some gold signs announcing the Main Street Confectionery as well as their updated sponsor, Mars Wrigley.
You’ll now find windows with a special Main Street Confectionery logo on them as well.
And there are other windows that announce what kinds of treats you’ll be able to find inside the sweet shop.
We can’t wait to see inside this space once it opens this week.
During a recent visit we also found some new displays in the windows of the Confectionery showing off all kinds of confections and treats.
Behind some windows, we saw shelves holding jars that were filled with all kinds of candy, including some from Goofy’s Candy Co. Others held baked treats like cupcakes, tarts, cookies, Mickey Mouse rice krispies, and candy apples.
A big display window showed the winners of the Mars Sweetest Spoon Showcase, “featuring the finest home confectioners in the nation!” It seems this will be part of the updated backstory for the Confectionery. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more details.
We spotted portraits of the winners with their blue ribbons, and the Sweetest Spoon trophy in the center. And wait just one second, is that a wreath made of candy?! It looks adorable and delicious!
We’re excited for this spot to reopen soon, especially since it’ll have some NEW treats! Keep following DFB for more updates on the Main Street Confectionery and other news in Disney World.
