PHOTOS: We Built a Boozy Snowcone (with Jolly Rancher-Infused Tequila) in EPCOT Today!

We have been to EPCOT’s La Cava del Tequila at the Mexico Pavilion many, many, many times! It’s one of our favorite places to grab a drink.

And we’ve enjoyed some REALLY unique beverages there, including a Tomato Margarita, the infamous Avocado Margarita, the SPICY El Diablo, and more! But today, La Cava del Tequila is serving up something a little different — because it’s the bar’s 12th anniversary!

So we stopped by La Cava this afternoon to join in on the festivities! And we found out that they were offering up Make Your Own Raspados. Now, Raspado is actually the Spanish word for “shaved ice,” but these aren’t any old regular snowcones — these come with a boozy kick! We started by purchasing a ticket to make our own boozy snowcone for $20.

Then we got in line — bartenders were waiting behind the counter to add everything we requested to our treat. We chose our Rim — the options are Chile Poblano Salt, Black Ant Salt, and Popcorn Salt.

Then you can choose your syrup from three combos: Strawberry and Pomegranate, Mango and Blood Orange, and Pineapple and Ginger. Those sound delicious, right?

There are three choices for Liqueur — Lejay Blackcurrant Liqueur, Nixta Corn Liqueur, and Orange Blue Curacao.

There were two options for Spirit: Jolly Rancher Infused Cintenela Tequila and Skittles Infused Ilegal Mezcal.

So much fun!

We could choose from some super fun toppings, like Rainbow Drops, Explosion Candy (aka Pop Rocks), and Unicorn Dust. Is this the most fun boozy snack ever? We think it might be!

So what did we make? We chose Black Ant Salt, Strawberry and Pomegranate Syrup, Lejay Blackcurrant Liqueur, Jolly Rancher Infused Tequila, and Pop Rocks.

And you know what — this boozy snowcone HIT THE SPOT. It was delicious!

It was also a LOT of fun to make, and there are a ton of awesome flavor combinations you could try here. To be honest, we’re not sure we ever want a regular snowcone again!

But if you’re wanting to make your own Raspado, know this — this is a one-day offering to celebrate La Cava’s 12th anniversary. So you’ll need to go to EPCOT NOW to get in on it. And they’re also having some giveaways, too (like t-shirts). If this offer is extended, we will let you know!

And if we spot any other fun parties at EPCOT, we’ll let you know. But for now, we’re going to just keep on slurping up this boozy snowcone of our dreams.
