It’s officially World Princess Week! If you’re a big fan of the Disney Princesses, there are quite a few things you can participate in, buy, or do during this portion of the Ultimate Princess Celebration.
We’ve been enjoying seeing the princesses at the parks and checking out all of the new princess merchandise that has been released. One Princess, Tiana, even got her own playground at EPCOT recently. But, if you’re ALL about the snacks, then you’ll be happy to know there are all kinds of new princess snacks in Disney World for you to try right now. We’ve gotten the chance to sample a few of these treats today, but there is one in particular that is MADE for apple pie fans!
Earlier today, we got the chance to try the Snow White Cupcake, which is a Vanilla cupcake with Spiced Caramel Apple Filling, topped with Caramel Buttercream, Red Chocolate Fondant, and a Red Bow made of White and Milk Chocolate.
Is this the fairest cupcake of them all? We had to bite into this “apple” to find out.
And…we thought the Snow White Cupcake was delicious! The cake itself was super moist, but the best part was actually the apple filling inside.
The chefs make the apple filling in-house, and you can definitely tell it’s not made with canned apples. The fruit was crisp and fresh, and the spices in the sauce came through with each bite.
We didn’t get a very strong caramel flavor from the buttercream icing. There wasn’t a ton of icing either — in fact, we would have loved more! But if you like a little less icing on your cupcakes, this one would be perfect for you.
If you don’t love apple flavors or you like your cupcakes loaded with a lot of icing, you might want to try a different treat. You could go for the fudge-filled Halloween cupcake in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, for example, which we think would be a great choice for icing lovers.
We found the Snow White Cupcake at The Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa for $5.99. You can try it right now during World Princess Week, which is set to last through August 29th.
As always, be sure to check back with us here at DFB for more food reviews, photos, news updates, and more.
