Would You Eat MUSHROOM ICE CREAM?! You Can at This Disney Spot!

Salt and Straw at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney district is known for delicious ice cream and adventurous flavors (we’re still recovering from the bug ice cream!).

Today, we’ve spotted some brand new flavors from the Downtown Disney ice cream spot!

If you look at Salt and Straw’s menu, you’ll spot the Camp Salt and Straw limited edition flavors! Some of the flavor options included Salted Hazelnut Praline S’mores, Cowboy Coffee Grinds and Bourbon, and… Mushroom Muddy Buddies? We knew we had to try mushroom ice cream the moment we saw it!

The Mushroom Muddy Buddies includes Roasted Hazelnuts, Peanut Butter and Chocolate Coated Cereal, and Candied Mushrooms. This was definitely a pleasant surprise for us! The mushrooms weren’t particularly overwhelming in terms of taste, but we still weren’t huge on this ice cream.

The fungus is among us!

The hazelnut is definitely the strongest flavor followed by the cereal. We didn’t really taste much of the mushroom unless you get a big chunk of mushroom. If you like mushrooms or just looking for an interesting ice cream flavor, give this one a try! Otherwise, maybe steer clear.

And for our friends on the East Coast and the Disney World lovers out there, never fear! Soon, you’ll be able to enjoy Salt and Straw at Disney Springs when the new shop opens in 2022!
