New Donut Alert! Two NEW Donuts Arrived at The Donut Box in EPCOT!

EPCOT has been pretty busy lately! They’ve been introducing new Food and Wine Festival Booths early, substituting pasta dishes, and bringing back (socially distant) princess meet and greets!

In the midst of all these changes, we decided to go check out another festival favorite — the Donut Box! Those chefs have been busy becuase we grabbed TWO NEW DONUTS!

While the schedule hasn’t been entirely consistent, the Donut Box debuts new Chef’s Donuts of the Day every two (ish) weeks! The last two new treats we reviewed here were the Cookies and Cream and Maple Bacon donuts (spoiler alert: we loved them!).

Sadly, those donuts are gone, but luckily, we’ve got two new fruity donuts to try! These donuts are about as “Summer” and “Fall” as you can get (fitting since Food and Wine runs across both seasons!).

Say hello to the new Apple Crumble Donut ( on the right) and the Passion Fruit-Coconut Donut (on the left)!

Fruity new donuts!

First up, we tried the new Passion Fruit-Coconut Donut. The Chef’s Donuts of the Day are both available for $5!

This donut is filled with passion fruit curd and topped with coconut shavings!

Look at that passion fruit center!

As you can see, it was STUFFED with filling! The passion fruit curd was tart and still sweet. If you like lemon curd this is similar but much more fruit forward and tropical flavored. The coconut is really only present in the coconut shavings. The toasted shavings reminded us a bit of another EPCOT favorite, School bread from the Norway Pavilion! This donut tastes like summer!!

We couldn’t leave the new Apple Crumble Donut out of the party! Nothing says fall is coming like an apple-flavored dessert in Disney!

The Apple Crumble donut is a sweet cinnamon-y dessert topped with apple pie filling! The frosting here is a thick cinnamon glaze. The whole thing is topped with a generous sprinkling of streusel crumbs. This was very sweet but the fresh fruit helped cut some of the sugary donut-ness. If you like apple pie or strudel, this will be a HIT.

Overall, we felt like these were two pretty standard donuts with some basic flavors, but both were done well! If you’re craving a sweet new donut, give these a try! We can’t wait to see what will come next at the Donut Box! We’re always on top of the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more!
